A Big Misunderstanding

I see lots of blog titles, posts, and hear pieces of conversations in day to day life which suggest there are so many humans out there, of both sexes, who are forlorn and jaded when it comes to the opposite sex.

“All men . . . ”

“Women always . . .”

“I’m so tired of . . .’

I get it; we guys often seem all alike, and in some ways the majority of us are. It’s the same for women. The more I read and learn (both scientific and anecdotal) the more I can’t help thinking that a large portion of our issues come down to misunderstandings. We are wired differently. We think differently. Nothing is inherently wrong with either, but it’s hard to understand the other side because our way and wiring makes so much sense to us that we have a hard time understanding anything other than what we know.

To those who are losing hope, chin up; there is info out there if we are willing to learn it. Golfers often walk to the tee and look back towards their ball before putting to see if there is something they couldn’t see before. It’s the same way in dealing with other humans; it may be well worth the time to stop, walk over, and see things from the other persons point of view.

If you have a smartphone or computer the world lies at your fingertips.

After 40+ years, I am discovering and starting to believe that people communicate so differently even in the simplest of things. It’s very amazing actually.

I feel like I’ve learned a great deal just in the past couple years; sometimes I can hardly believe I didn’t notice how different we all are before.

And thanks for stopping by and commenting! I always enjoy your writing.

Thank you😊…. I think we live in our own worlds a little more than we realize.
